Another fabulous day...

Surely one would think we might have an uneventful day but this wasn't it.  I'm not sure what photos will get attached today.  But maybe it is time we share our days activities.

Tie-dye group with Quinn, Taylor, Mary, and Dorothy continued the process from the work yesterday as well as 6 new children joining the activities. One of our obstacles in getting the best possible outcome was lack of running water.   Lessons learned.

Ryan, Elijah, Michael, Pall, and Steven were an amazing team in both areas...construction and children's activities.  They used the hand tools of the Guatemalans and dug the footers for the concrete basin all morning.  In the afternoon they are in charge of the outdoor games.  What is so great is they put just as much energy in running with the children as they did on the construction project.  They are building wash basins for the school and wonderful relationship with the children of the wonderful little village.

for Mission Guatemala measured one more time. 

Our guys... Gene, Sam, Larry, Bud, and Mike really appreciated the super team of young guys... especially in the afternoon as they had to learn how to use the Guatemalan tools too while the young ones were helping with children's activities.  In the construction area, they plumbed the sinks, poured the foundation, started the block walls, bent the rebar for the water storage tank supports, and dug 4 holes 29 1/2 inches deep.

Trent has taken thousands of photos everywhere and of everyone.  We hope you are enjoying them.  Today he photographed all the children and printed the photos to fit the picture frames that they made in the craft section.  

 

We have a great evening planned for tomorrow so no new blog post should be expected.   We'll give you the details of our evening out Guatemalan style on Thursday.
