Sager Brown Mission Team is arriving today...

Team members are consecrated on Sunday January 18. Six other members
had already began their journey to Louisiana.  

The 16 members of the Sager Brown team will be arriving in Baldwin, LA sometime this afternoon, Sunday, January 25, 2015.   Team members leave from various places and at various times but always leaving enough time to get there for the orientation and a meal in a local restaurant following.   New team members are Bob Westfall and Mike Strayer.   Those 2 left Thursday and enjoyed the trip down just taking it easy.   The word is they "ate their way through" New Orleans.   Lynn Jaynes  joined them on Saturday for an amazing tour through "Taste of New Orleans" and then today they were participating a southern gospel worship experience before the last 2 hours of driving to arrive at Sager Brown.   

Margie Miller and friend (Mary Beth Byrne), the Deeter's, Coolman's, McMurtrey's, Versteeg's, Roach's, and Meyer's are veterans team members with the Versteeg's being the lead couple for this decade old mission experience.   The Albert's and Syrcle's were feeling left out this morning as they are not with the team this year.  Next year...

We hope to bring you updates throughout this week.  Earlier this week we had received information that items for the Layette Kit were needed so the sewing projects may be directed from book bags to Layette Kits.  

Thanks to Tessie Horning and the Faith Works people for putting together wonderful personal hygiene kits.   Thanks to Cindy Felton for the personal hygiene kits she shared.  Mike and Bob took those with them and they will be given as part of the offering and support provided to Sager Brown on behalf of our team and Valparaiso 1st.
